Why Use An Accredited Broker
If you are looking at purchasing or selling a vessel, one of your options is to use a broker
The recent introduction of a broker's accreditation program, sanctioned and financed by the Queensland State Government in conjunction with the Marine Brokers Association of Queensland, has seen a code of conduct established creating minimum standards and procedures for the way in which marine broker businesses are operated.
These standards protect the interests of the boating public when purchasing or selling a vessel and mean there is a uniform manner of dealing with clients, including uniform listings, standard sales agreements, proper handling of funds and disbursements, as well as providing marketing and sales advice to achieve the best result for buyers and sellers.
To obtain accreditation, brokers must complete the program in order to demonstrate their ability to comply and implement the benchmark standards and procedures.
The public can be confident, when dealing with an accredited broker, that the broker has achieved this qualification. So, when you need the services of a marine broker, look for the Accredited logo.
